Two audiences. One mechanism.
SomniCue is built for students and learners using TMR to retain what they studied, and for mental health users doing memory-linked emotional work alongside therapy or a journaling practice.

The Learn & Remember Category covers study, language practice, certification prep, and professional learning. Run a Session while you review. Run a Sleep Session at night. The same Cue plays in both.
The mechanism is the same across all four Categories. The framing shifts to match what you are reinforcing.
Mental health and reinforcement work
- Reframe Thoughts: pair a Cue with a reframe rehearsed in therapy
- Calm Anxiety: pair a Cue with a calming practice
- Build Confidence: pair a Cue with a practiced behavior
- Used alongside a clinician, not as a replacement
- Used alongside a journaling or mindfulness practice
- Description-led, not coaching-led
What SomniCue is not
SomniCue does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. It does not deliver new content during sleep. It does not replace clinical care.
SomniCue is the first consumer app for Targeted Memory Reactivation. It pairs a Cue with the practice you are already doing, and replays that Cue during sleep.
Research notes
Rasch et al. A foundational TMR study. Odor cues paired with learning, replayed during slow-wave sleep, supported declarative memory consolidation.
Science
Rudoy et al. Sound cues during slow-wave sleep strengthened recall of the cued items vs. uncued items.

Common questions
Does this prevent or treat any condition?+
No. SomniCue is not a medical device and makes no claim to prevent or treat any condition. It pairs a Cue with the practice you choose, and replays the Cue during sleep.
Is this useful at any age?+
TMR has been studied across age groups. SomniCue does not claim to restore sleep architecture or reverse age-related changes. It pairs a Cue with the activity you are already doing.
Is this hard to use?+
Setup is about five minutes. Create an Item, pick a Cue, run a Session, run a Sleep Session. If you can use any app on your iPhone, you can use SomniCue.
