How it works
Practice during the day. Reinforce at night.
SomniCue uses Targeted Memory Reactivation (TMR), a sleep neuroscience technique. You pair a Cue with an activity while awake. SomniCue replays that Cue during sleep to reactivate the association.
Step 1
Create an Item
An Item is one thing you want to reinforce. Pick a Category, give it a title and description, and choose one Cue from the built-in audio library. The Cue stays tied to that Item.
- Pick a Category (Learn & Remember, Reframe Thoughts, Calm Anxiety, Build Confidence)
- Give the Item a title and a description
- Choose one Cue from the audio library
Step 2
Run a Session
A Session is any awake activity during which the Item's Cue plays periodically in the background. Studying, journaling, practicing. The Cue gets associated with the context through repeated exposure.
Step 3
Run a Sleep Session
Pick the Item, choose Nap or Tonight, set bedtime and wake time. Choose how many Cue plays to allow, or accept the recommended number based on sleep duration. The Cue plays at appropriate sleep stages.
- Pick Nap or Tonight, then set bedtime and wake time
- Cue plays are recommended based on sleep duration
- Volume is low enough to avoid waking you
Step 4
Run the loop
One Item can have many Sessions and many Sleep Sessions. The Cue stays tied to the Item, so each repeat reinforces the same association.
Per-Item history shows your Sessions and Sleep Sessions over time, so you can see how often each Cue has played awake and during sleep.
